Early 1960’s – The Walker Brothers - formed in California under the guiding hand of Jack Nitzsche and are signed by Mercury Records in the States 1965. The Walker Brothers move to the UK and have massive hits with ‘The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore’, ‘Make It Easy On Yourself’ and many more.
1967–69 – At the height of the commercial success of the Walker Brothers, Scott leaves the band to pursue a solo career recording the four seminal albums, Scott 1 to 4. Scott then disappears.
1978 – Scott reappears to record Niteflights, a mixture of Walker Brother tracks and his own solo tracks including ‘The Electrician’.
1984 – New album, Climate Of Hunter, released on Virgin Records.
1993 – Scott composes Title Track with Goran Bregovic for Isabelle Adjani film, Toxic Affair.
1995 – New album, Tilt, released on Fontana.
1999 – Scott writes and produces score for Leos Carax’s Pola X starring Guillaume Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve.
2000 – Scott curates the SouthBank Meltdown Festival.
2000 – Scott is commissioned to compose and produce two songs – ‘Scope J’ and ‘Lullaby’ – for Ute Lemper’s album, Punishing Kiss.
2002 – Scott produces Pulp’s album, We Love Life.
2006 – New album, The Drift, released on 4AD Records.
2006 – Commissioned by Artangel to compose and produce one song entitled ‘Darkness’ for Plague Songs.
2007 – Scott composes music for a contemporary dance piece entitled And Who Shall Go To The Ball? And What Shall Go To The Ball? Commissioned by the Southbank, choreographed by Raphael Bonachela and performed by CanDoCo.
2007 – Stephen Kijak’s film feature documentary Scott Walker – 30th Century Man released.
2008 – Drifting and Tilting – The Songs of Scott Walker directed by Ann-Christin Rommen and performed at the Barbican Theatre.
2009 – Duets with Bat For Lashes on ‘The Big Sleep’ from her album Two Suns.
2010 – Commissioned by Royal Opera House to compose the music for Duet For One Voice, choreographed by Aletta Collins.
2011 – Scott begins to record his new album for 4AD Records.
2011 – Confirmed to compose a new score for OperaShots, to be premiered at the Royal Opera House in 2012.
