A companion compilation to the two albums, Sweet Ride features alternative mixes of some of the singles along with rare B-sides and other fine recordings that were lost along the way. The release also includes a 16 page booklet with exclusive notes on all the tracks by Tanya Donelly.
Producer Glyn Johns gives the band an appealingly punchy sheen, and Donelly cuts away her remaining arty preciousness, concentrating solely on big pop songs that are neglected gems of post-alternative modern rock.
