Johann Johannsson's single "The Sun's Gone Dim And The Sky's Turned Black" is released today. It precedes his much anticipated debut album for 4AD - IBM 1401, A User's Manual - which will follow on October 30th.
Alongside "The Sun’s Gone Dim And The Sky’s Turned Black", is an exclusive recording called "Passacaglia", which is an early version of the A side, performed by string quartet.
This single serves as a perfect introduction to the elegiac beauty of the album.
