Capping off a sensational year for the Baltimore three-piece, Future Islands have aired a new documentary, shot by Jay Buim, via NPR.
Road Dawgs follows the band across 2014, as the group address the critical and popular success of their debut 4AD record Singles which was released in March, along with their maiden television performances and famously extensive gig schedule. Examining the close bond they share with their fans, and the raw sets by which they've made their name, the short film features candid interviews with Future Islands, plus exclusive live footage from a hometown set in Baltimore earlier in the year.
The film was produced and directed by Jay Buim, who was also responsible for the official 'Seasons (Waiting On You)' video. The song has now seen the Best Track of the Year accolade from an astonishing eight publications: Pitchfork, The Guardian, Spin, MOJO, NME, Time Out, Consequence of Sound, and The Line of Best Fit.
You can watch Road Dawgs below, or via NPR here.
