U.S. Girls has released two singles from the new album.  'Mad As Hell' is a clarion call for pacifism while 'Velvet 4 Sale' concerns a female narrator imploring another to buy a gun for protection, impressing that the only way to change men is for women to take up arms—a sentiment Remy personally does not support.  Throughout In a Poem Unlimited are dark meditations reflecting charged atmospheres that directly precede and follow acts of violence, but set to infectious radio-ready disco grooves.  Many of the songs are character studies of women grappling with power; how to gain and exert it spiritually, as well as desperate strategies to mitigate its infliction.  Remy also rallies against the public lies told by political and religious leaders, and more crucially, questions the lies we tell ourselves in order to survive.

“A menacing reclamation of power…among the most gorgeous sounds she’s ever dreamt up” - Stereogum
“Resembles a traditional pop song but with subtle, unsettling touches” - Pitchfork
“A powerful feminist revenge fantasy” - Brooklyn Vegan
