Taking place this November, Daughter will follow up their largest UK tour to date with an extensive tour of Europe.
The summer is set to be just as busy for Elena, Igor and Remi as they head out on the festival circuit, beginning next week with appearances at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound and London’s Field Day festivals (at the latter Daughter will play the Laneway stage at 7.30pm). The London-based trio will also head back out to North America to open for fellow 4AD act The National in August.
With less than a month to go before the release of their long-awaited new album Desire Lines (recorded in Portland, US with producer Tucker Martine), Camera Obscura have revealed another song, ‘Fifth In Line To The Throne’.
A sonic foil to recent single ‘Do It Again’, ‘Fifth In Line To The Throne’ sees the Glasgow five-piece in full balladeer mode and features backing vocals from Neko Case.

When Efterklang presented their fourth album, Piramida, for the first time to a sold out audience at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra last year, the evening’s success gave the Danish act the opportunity to take this unique performance around the globe. This week sees the release of Deerhunter’s fifth album, Monomania.
Monomania began life when a new Deerhunter line-up (with additions of bassist Josh Mckay and guitarist Frankie Broyles) reconvened in January 2013 at Rare Book Studio in Brooklyn, New York. Produced by Nicholas Vernhes and Bradford Cox, Monomania finds the group recalling its scrappy punk aesthetic; a perfect nocturnal garage rock album full of the layered and hazy vintage guitar sounds that define them.
