Rachel Goswell's debut solo release -"The Sleep Shelter EP" - is released by 4AD this week.
The EP features five songs, and it's the ideal introduction to the album "Waves Are Universal", which follows next month.
After opening with the hushed beauty of "Plucked" - which spirals gently upwards from a sparse introduction into a warm spiral of strings and found sound - and taking in the rambling, Dylan-esque "Sleepless & Tooting", the EP goes on to include three songs which will be unavailable elsewhere : "Flying With Gene", "Stickin' With Grace" and "Come Rescue Me".
