Deerhunter - Deerhunter Share 'Fading Frontier' Concept Map
Deerhunter : Deerhunter Share 'Fading Frontier' Concept Map
28th September 2015

Ahead of the release of Fading Frontier on Friday, 16th October, Deerhunter have shared more details about the record in the form of a interactive concept map, drawn by the band's lynchpin Bradford Cox.

Premiering via Vulture Magazine, Cox's illustration points towards the influences leading into the writing of the record. From Pharaoh Sanders to Vicente Huidobro, Juniper Ridge fragrances to soulless car smells, the map offers an insight into the literary and visual tropes of the group's seventh studio album, along with the impact of Cox's car accident in late 2014.

Pre-orders of the album through the 4AD Store (World ex. Europe) will get a free limited edition screenprint of Bradford's map.

In the accompanying interview, Cox discusses five concepts identified on the map, including Laurie Spiegel and the decline of the music industry.  You can read the interview, via Vulture, here, and explore the map below.

Ahead of the album's release, Deerhunter have aired two videos for tracks 'Snakeskin' and 'Breaker'.  You can watch both videos via 4AD's YouTube channel here, and stream on Spotify here.  The band will tour extensively throughout North America and Europe around the release of Fading Frontier.  You can find all dates and relevant links below.
