Merchandise start life on 4AD with the release of 'Begging For Your Life / In The City Light', on limited edition 12".
Having first appeared on a now highly collectable split tour cassette with Chelsea Light Moving at the tail end of last year, 'Begging For Your Life / In The City Light' will receive a one-time vinyl pressing next month. Weighing in at 14 minutes long, just 1,000 individually numbered copies are being manufactured as a one-sided, clear 12" with etching. You can hear an edit of the track on the band's website here, whilst the full version will be available to stream and buy on most digital services from tomorrow (January 15th). The limited 12" will be released on February 25th, and is available to pre-order from the 4AD webstore here.
Merchandise are currently in their home studio in Tampa, FL working on their debut album for 4AD. Following 2013's Total Nite, they have also added a new member to their line-up, with Chris Horn (guitar / keys / sax) joining the established core of Carson Cox (vocals / guitar), David Vassalotti (guitar), Elsner Niño (drums) and Patrick Brady (bass). You can read an exclusive interview with Carson in this week's NME for their 2014 Albums edition, available from tomorrow.
The band play their first live show of the year at Festival NRML in Mexico City on March 1st. More dates will be confirmed soon.
