Formed in 2003, 50 FOOT WAVE offered Kristin Hersh a new outlet for her craft.  A trio completed by drummer Rob Ahlers and Throwing Muses bassist Bernard Georges, Hersh described 50 FOOT WAVE as "having a lot of math in it," while also calling it "less emotionally tangled" than her other work.
