Today, Unknown Mortal Orchestra share their new video for 'Shakedown Street', their standout contribution to Day of the Dead.  Released digitally and as a 5xCD boxset, the epic tribute album to Grateful Dead's music created and curated by brothers Aaron and Bryce Dessner, is out now on 4AD.  The energetic version of the song is one of the dancier songs on the collection with the video, directed by Business Company, designed as a dreamlike experience for the viewer to interpret. 

Unknown Mortal Orchestra recently brought the song to Conan, and you can now watch live performance in the player below.  

On Saturday, 13th August at the Eaux Claires Festival in Eau Claire, WI, Ruban Nielson will join many other artists featured on the Day of the Dead album for a one time live performance of songs from the album.  Performers include Aaron & Bryce Dessner, Scott and Bryan Devendorf, Matt Berninger, Justin Vernon, Bruce Hornsby, Lucius, Matthew Houck, Jenny Lewis, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and more.

The 10XLP vinyl boxset version of Day of the Dead will be released 9th September, and can be pre-ordered via the 4AD Store from this page, where you can also see a number of photos of the boxed set.
