Today, Manhattan four-piece cumgirl8 announce a string of forthcoming North American, European, and UK tour dates, kicking off this October and continuing through the end of the year with stops across the States, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, and more, as well as appearances at Iceland Airwaves and Desert Daze.

As much as their genre-morphing music itself, cumgirl8’s incendiary live performances are brilliantly chaotic and emblematic of the spirit of New York performance art. In recent months, cumgirl8 has completed a US headline tour and support dates with L7 and Bratmobile. Historically, the band has played a sold-out show at New York’s newest venue Knitting Factory at Baker Falls (formerly The Pyramid Club), a stint supporting Le Tigre on a sold-out Canadian run, and festival spots at Primavera, The Great Escape, London Calling, Greenman, Core Festival, and Pitchfork Paris just to name a few.

Earlier this year, they shared two standalone singles, “quite like love” and "glasshour,” released to praise from the likes of PAPER Magazine, The FADER, Post-Punk, and Brooklyn Vegan. Both new singles serve as a preview for the group's upcoming debut record (due later this year), a follow-up to last year's EP release, phantasea pharm (their debut with 4AD).

CUMGIRL8 BIO:
After meeting in a sex chat 8000 years ago, cumgirl8 – Veronika Vilim (guitar), Chase Lombardo (drums), Lida Fox (bass), and Avishag Rodrigues (guitar) -- have constructed a dense lore that spans multiple genres, timelines, and dimensions. Evocative of AIM handles of yore and stamped with a hypersexual ethos, their moniker is a simultaneous wink to the freedom granted by online anonymity, and a cheer for the sex-positive, sex worker-supportive possibilities of the web at its most utopian. With tight layers of boundary-obliterating guitars, time-bending rhythms, and daring explorations in storytelling, cumgirl8 continues to vividly reinvent themselves to this day, always with a focus on community, expression, and growth.

cumgirl8's sound is one of limitless opportunity, touting inspiration from a wide range of musical heroes such as ESG, Cocteau Twins, Suicide, CSS, B-52s, The Shangri-Las, Chris & Cosey, and Madonna. A product of the experiences they’ve had across their many lives, their discography is thusly a warped, fucked up ‘coat of many colors,’ with their forthcoming material being no different. “We want people to be afraid of what’s coming,” as Vilim explains.

Last year, cumgirl8 shared their debut 4AD EP phantasea pharm. Recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely from analog tape, the resulting 6-track EP is composed of brilliant and boundless music that stretch across the likes of Cocteau Twins, ESG, Suicide, The Slits, B-52s, Madonna and more. This release followed cumgirl8's previous releases, including stand-alone single "dumb bitch" (2022) and their two other EPs, cumgirl8 (2020) and RIPcumgirl8 (2021).
