Nearly eight months since releasing fifth album Desire Lines, Camera Obscura are set to return from maternity leave with new tour dates and a one-off release for Record Store Day.
Entitled Session EP, the 4-track 7” comprises live audio taken from the 4AD Session Camera Obscura recorded in their hometown of Glasgow last summer. Choosing the Tron Theatre as its setting, the building’s 16th century clock tower remains one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. With all songs featured lifted from Desire Lines, the live performance was originally shot by seasoned 4AD Session collaborators Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. You can watch the session here or below.
Session EP is released on 20th April 2014 for Record Store Day.
