Tune-Yards is currently on the road with David Byrne and will headline 4AD’s first-ever US tour joined by labelmate U.S. Girls later this year. The latter tour kicks off in LA at Mayan Theater on October 18 and wraps up in NYC at Knockdown Center on November 2, pairing for the first time the artists who have created two of the most culture-shifting albums of the year. Tune-Yards’ fourth album I can feel you creep into my private life was released earlier this year to widespread praise. A fully collaborative effort between Garbus and Brenner who co-wrote and co-produced the record, Garbus’ lyrics explore her place in the world, ruminating on race, politics, intersectional feminism and the environment. The band performed singles ‘Heart Attack’ on Jimmy Kimmel and ‘ABC 123’ on Conan in January.
