Deerhunter - Deerhunter Announce New U.S. Tour Dates
Deerhunter : Deerhunter Announce New U.S. Tour Dates
25th August 2015

After detailing their new album Fading Frontier last week, Deerhunter have scheduled a run of U.S. shows following the worldwide release on 16th October.

Starting in Los Angeles a day later on the 17th, the four-piece (Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Moses Archuleta and Josh McKay) will visit Portland, Seattle and San Francisco's Treasure Island before beginning a run of previously announced European shows.

The group will then hit the road for a more extensive U.S. tour, including sets in New York and Chicago, before concluding in Athens GA in early 2016.  U.S. dates will be on sale on Friday (28th), and you can see the full list below, including ticket links.  European shows are on sale now.

Fading Frontier is the seventh studio album by Deerhunter, written in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, and with production duties shared by the band and Ben H. Allen III, continuing a collaboration that began with 2010’s Halcyon Digest.  You can read more about the album here.  It is preceded by the official video for 'Snakeskin', directed by Valentina Tapia, which you can watch in the player below.

Last week saw Pitchfork publish their extensive feature with the band - Beyond Nostalgia: A Conversation with Deerhunter's Bradford Cox - which you can read here.

Bradford has also published a new playlist on the band's Spotify channel, entitled Chrome Columns Of The Air Conditioned Delta.  You can listen and follow here.
