Today, Tune-Yards releases their Spotify Single which hears the group performing ‘ABC 123’ off their highly-acclaimed new album I can feel you creep into my private life as well as a buoyant cover of The Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)’.

Earlier this month, Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner released ‘Mango’, a collaboration with Lakeith Stanfield’s musical project Moors. The duo connected with Stanfield through their work (scoring and starring respectively) on the film Sorry To Bother You, and was called “sublime,” by Highsnobiety and “as weird as you’d imagine,” by GQ. You can listen to the collaboration here.
Tune-Yards’ fourth album I can feel you creep into my private life was released earlier this year to widespread praise. A fully collaborative effort between Garbus and Brenner who co-wrote and co-produced the record, Garbus’ lyrics explore her place in the world, ruminating on race, politics, intersectional feminism and the environment.
“A sleek, radical evolution full of insistent beats, catchy hooks and pointed questions about modern society.” New York Times
“Songs that make you think.” - NPR All Things Considered
“An LP determined to conjure kinetic joy while staring down our present cultural fright show.” - Rolling Stone
“Tune-Yards proves that dance music can still have teeth.” - TIME
“An entertainingly disruptive blast of a record with a mirrorball lure.” - Uncut
“This is dance-pop at its most polyglot and polemical, and it’s stunning.” - The Sunday Times
“Music that feels thrilling… it makes you want to dance.” - The Guardian – Album of the Week
Later this year, Tune-Yards will join David Byrne for his American shows and also headline 4AD’s first-ever US tour joined by labelmate U.S. Girls. The latter pairs artists who have created two of the most culture-shifting albums of the year. A full list of tour dates can be found below.
