LIMITED EDITION 7” FOR SALE ON THEIR FORTHCOMING 4AD TOUR KICKING OFF OCTOBER 18 AT THE MAYAN THEATER IN LOS ANGELES

Hear Tune-Yards and U.S. Girls remix each other’s songs today digitally ahead of their joint 4AD tour kicking off in Los Angeles at the Mayan Theater on October 18.   The tour will wrap up in NYC at Knockdown Center on November 2.  The culmination celebration will also feature a DJ set by Lizzie Bougatsos of Gang Gang Dance.  A limited edition 7” will be for sale exclusively on the tour for 4 American Dollars.

On October 16, Tune-Yards and U.S. Girls will discuss the relationship between content creation and artmaking as a modern artist with Rolling Stone Magazine and Sirius XM’s Jenny Eliscu at Neuehouse in Los Angeles.  The event will be live streamed.  Stay tuned for more details.

Earlier this year, Tune-Yards released, I can feel you creep into my private life, an album called “politically urgent” by Entertainment Weekly, “a sleek, radical evolution” by The New York Times  and NPR Music said it’s “Tune-Yards’ most sophisticated album to date.” The band performed 'Heart Attack' and 'Look At Your Hands' on Kimmel and 'ABC 123' on Conan in January.  Earlier this summer, Tune-Yards released 'Mango,' a critically acclaimed collaboration with Lakeith Stanfield’s musical project Moors.

U.S. Girls (aka Meg Remy)’s new album In A Poem Unlimited is a disco Trojan horse for messages of protest and character studies of women grappling with power or a lack thereof.  The New Yorker ran a multi-page critic’s essay on the themes of Remy’s work and Pitchfork gave it both Best New Music and Best New Track (for 'Rosebud') nods.  GQ said it’s “a compulsively listenable tour de force that’s one of the best pop record of 2018 so far” and after the band, who perform as an eight-piece, sold out three shows in one night at NYC’s Baby’s All Right Stereogum called their sets “a revelation.”
