Today, Future Islands announce 25 headlining North American tour dates, including stops in DC, Nashville, Austin, Oakland and New Orleans this summer.  For these newly announced dates, Future Islands has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket will go to organizations bringing equity, dignity, and access to communities who need it. 

The run will end in NYC joining The National at Forest Hills Stadium on 30th September.  In 2017 alone, the band totaled more than 115 performances for the biggest audiences of their 11-year career, including three nights at London’s Brixton Academy, three nights at Brooklyn Steel and Coachella.

Future Islands' 2017 album The Far Field bursts with chest-pounding “galvanic” (Rolling Stone) love songs and odes to the road.  NPR says, “few bands strike a balance between unfettered joy and wistful reflection as brilliantly as Future Islands” while Pitchfork praises “contemporary music doesn’t sound like this, and the world certain doesn’t feel like this, yet Future Islands make this style of romance-swept new wave sound as alluring and empowering as ever.”
