Joker: 'The Vision (Let Me Breathe)'
16th May 2011
The debut 4AD release from hotly-tipped Bristol producer Joker, ‘The Vision (Let Me Breathe)', is dominated by an infectious synth-line and a stunning vocal contribution from fellow rising star Jessie Ware (SBTRKT, Sampha). Pressed on a limited quantity of white label 12"s and available to download, it was given its premiere by Radio 1's Annie Mac (whilst sitting in for Zane Lowe) in the fêted 'Hottest Record ?in the World' slot. It subsequently was playlisted on both Radio 1 and 1Xtra and became a club favourite. It also served as a primer for his debut album, due for release later in 2011.
